About the Captain
I began fly fishing over 20 years ago, exploring every trout stream in New England. After moving to Long Island, I found that the in-shore fly fishing opportunities were second to none. For the past 12 years I have immersed myself into the sport— exploring the vast waters by boat and from shore, teaching fly casting and tying and working at Long Island's premier fly shop— The Camp-Site Sport Shop.

Although I love to fish, becoming a guide was always my main goal. Nothing is more pleasing to me than taking someone fishing and showing them what our waters have to offer. Blitz Bound Guide Service is for everyone— I have just as much fun teaching a beginner how to catch their first saltwater fish as I do taking the expert 'technical angler' searching for a trophy. A day of fishing should be a rewarding experience for everyone, no matter what the conditions. I hope to see you all out enjoying this great sport soon!

Fly Fishing and Light Tackle Charters
All fishing takes place on a 2003 Jones Brothers 1910 'LT Edition', the ultimate Northeast Fly Fishing and Light Tackle boat. This boat is designed to skim through shallow waters while still being able to push through rough seas. This beautiful fishing machine will get you to the breaking fish quickly, safely and comfortably.

The boat will be loaded with all of the latest fly and light-tackle fishing equipment, including Tibor and Abel fly reels, G. Loomis and St. Croix rods and Shimano and Van Staal spinning reels. Of course, there will be more flies and artificial baits on board to last us a lifetime! If you prefer, you certainly may bring your equipment. The fishing season starts in mid-April. We fish out of Atlantic Highland Marina through the summer. Most New Jersey trips are half day charters, with fishing times dictated by the optimal tidal phases and current flows. However, if we find the bunker and big fish, I doubt 4 hours will be enough for anyone! The 'Fall Run' will find us chasing blitzes on Long Island's East End. We fish out of The Montauk Yacht Club in Montauk, NY. Fall trips are all full day charters. You will see why— 4 hours is just not enough time in this amazing fishery!
